When Dana & Johny picked Filoli Historic House & Garden for their engagement session, I could not wait to photograph their love here! Filoli Estate is a photographer’s dream come true with over 650 acres of seasonal flowers, elegant architecture, and so much natural beauty. As a wedding photographer, creating an engagement session so my couples feel relaxed and can have fun is always my top priority, and so I love taking my couples to well-known locations inside the gardens, while mixing it up with some new locations to explore!

With my Filoli Membership, planning your engagement session here is stress-free. On a beautiful October day, I met Dana and Johny outside the entrance, and we started with the infamous Filoli Brick building before heading off into a new corner that was blooming with the most beautiful hydrangeas!

As we continued into our session, I absolutely loved getting to know these two. What started as friends slowly turned into something deeper. A pho date, a day-long adventure packed with hiking, Disneyland, and movies at the end! Witnessing such a love that feels effortless and so full of care, I could photograph engagement sessions like these all day: capturing the laughter, the way you listen to each other, and the pure essence of two people in love.
