Windswept Point Reyes Engagement Session

If you’re dreaming of a Point Reyes engagement session, let this be your sign to embrace adventure and the elements!
Point Reyes National Seashore is one of the only places you can physically stand on the Pacific Plate instead of the North American Plate. The peninsula was carried north over millions of years by the San Andreas Fault, and Geologists estimate it originated near present-day Southern California and slowly migrated hundreds of miles north. Today Point Reyes National Seashore is one of the most photographed landmarks in Northern California!
For K&J's engagement session, Point Reyes National Seashore gave us everything this day; wind that refused to quit, clouds racing in and out, full sun one moment and dramatic overcast the next. We used the wind for wind-swept portraits, and we let the clouds guide us when to move. It is also very common for it to get foggy here, especially in the summer months. I therefore suggest to plan your session in Late Fall around late September, October, or early November for the best chance of sun. With the area averaging over 200 foggy days per year, We of course, fully embraced the sun too!
These two also brought their golden girl (golden retriever) along for the adventure, and honestly, what an adventure! I cannot wait to share more of K&J's magical session below:
K&J, I had the most wonderful time with you two, and I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate you two at Montalvo Arts Center this June!
xoxo,
Audey
